Our Free Fund Reviews are independent and based on fund research provided by FE Analytics, the industry’s most trusted fund research system.
We look at the 1, 3 and 5 year performance figures alongside their FE risk rating and compare these to the fund benchmarks and our own portfolios.
We have found that a large number of St James’s Place Funds have under performed their benchmarks, take more risk necessary for the returns and have been rated poorly by third party sources. Out of 94 Funds assessed:
34 were rated a 1 out of 5 Crown rating by FE Analytics.
33 were rated a 2 out of 5 Crown rating by FE Analytics.
12 were rated a 3 out of 5 Crown rating by FE Analytics.
3 were rated a 4 out of 5 Crown rating by FE Analytics.
3 were rated a 5 out of 5 Crown rating by FE Analytics.
8 were unrated by FE Analytics.
St James’s Place was established in 1991 by Sir Mark Weinberg, Mike Wilson CBE and Lord Rothschild and has since expanded to become one of the biggest advice firms in the UK.
St James’s Place has recently come under fire regarding its charges and whether they have been misleading clients about the nature of their costs and services.
